ARTica is a Polish organization that has been created in Ireland to develop intercultural dialogue between the two nations. ARTica aims to organize cultural events addressed to both Irish and Polish audience so they could meet, spend time together, integrate and share interests. We want to focus on how the cultural event can be used as a tool to make people understand each other and to give them new thoughts and ideas.
The purpose of ARTica is to enable intercultural exchange, which we plan to do in two phases; initially, by promoting young Polish artists in Ireland and in the longer term, by promoting young Irish artists in Poland. ARTica will facilitate events, exhibitions and performances, as well as presenting films, music and photography by these artists. Our organization wants to create a meeting place for people who wouldn’t otherwise meet; artists and audiences, Irish and Polish.
ARTica plans to co-operate with other cultural organizations, both local and international.
